Aww Susan I sending you lots of <<Hugs>> to you both after the sadness of today. Those few days following are so emotional but the sense of loss will get easier with time and soon you will start to think of Bonnie with smiles & nice happy memories.
Be strong & let those tears flow...& fuss your other 2 dogs as they will miss Bonnie too.
Its upset me reading your news today as I lost one of my collies last year & it broke my heart too.
Hope that you are OK x0 -

I remember when you lost one of your dogs last year and I know how this will bring that all back. It is tough but it's the good times and memories that make it all worthwhileMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Well, we took Bonnie to the vets and she agreed that the best thing to do was to put her out of her misery. At her age, 16, it was too much to put her through investigations and scans and/or possible operation which may still not give her quality of life. Alan was really brave and came with me, but had to leave the room in tears when the vet took Bonnie out the back to insert the catheter but he'd come back in before she got back, to be with Bonnie when she went. She just 'fell asleep' and looked so peaceful - we spent a little time with her and talked to the vet about her, but it was hard to leave her there
Anyway she is out of any pain now, and playing in doggie heaven, swimming and playing footballThe other two looked for her when we got back and checked her bed to see if she was there
but are sleeping now
We are going to hit the Bushmills Irish whiskey tonight0 -

Well I thought I posted this morning but when I looked later, there was no post there, so I posted again and ....................... it has gone too. I know it was there after posting it so I don;t know what's up here .................... we might have ghosts
Let's try again:
Morning guys - well I didn't go to bed until about 4 am and didn't get to sleep until about 5.30 and the alarm went off at 6.30 am  We had our breakfast, Alan took the 2 woofers out for a walk, wrapped up Boult's parcel after Alan remembered about it, then went down to the car boot. There wasn't many stalls and very few people about, so we had a quick look around and then had a cuppa with Stuart, before popping round the corner to the Royal Mail Depot .... so the extending ring is definitely on it's way to you now Boult at lastWe then popped round to the auction to see what was in for tomorrow's sale, before coming home
At 2.40pm, I was just about to make us some bacon, scambled eggs, mushrooms and roaast squash, when it occured to me that it was Friday ................. and I had my work group assessment at 3.30 pm in town which I had forgot all about. I'd missed my appointment two weeks ago so this was a rearranged one, so I had to go. Got changed and got there in time but, after telling me all about what they offer in way of getting back to work, the lady confirmed from my records that it was entirely voluntary for me, so she advised me to tell JobCentre when they ring me in next 2 weeks that I am not fit enough to seek work
I then walked round to surgery to pick up a prescription for Linda and then to Asda for a little shopping for us and for Linda before heading home. So, just a little late, we have just finished our bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms and roast squash and it was worth waiting for
It has been odd today, just having 2 dogs in the house. I've always fed Bonnie and Bess at one side of kitchen and, when we got Billy, I had to put his bowl at the other side. Last night I washed and put away Bonnie's bowl, and put Billy's bowl with his supper in where Bonnie's used to be ............ but he wouldn't go anywhere near it, waiting in his 'corner' for 'his bowl' to be put down. I pushed him over and he did eventually eat there, but tonight, when Alan fed them, he stayed in his 'corner' again waiting for his bowl to be put downIt will take him a while to adjust to eating over there, beside Bess
Hope everyone has had a good dayMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Hi 3dogs and big hugs to you both. Sounds like a bit of a pointless exercise making you go to the meeting this afternoon. Sorry to hear the booty was quiet but at least you could have a bit of a 'social' with Stuart. It must be so strange not having Bonnie there and the fact Billy is wondering whats up, bless him.Eating sensibly to try and lose some weight0

No, it's notthanks for letting me know, adn Steve for texting to tell me. We ended up with Steve ringing me on their home phone and kit calling Steve on her mobile and we had a 3-way conversation for 59 minutes
It's good to chat :j :j
Don't know what is wrong with my home phone though - no dialling tone, but think it may be blocked by incoming call that did not disconnect, or something like that. Will ring BT about it, but not now, will ring in the morning
P.S. I have paid my phone bill ...... in fact I am in creditMr 3Dogs 3-7-12
