Need sim/phone for cheap(est) calls when in Mexico

Im going there for a month, but due to some family stuff, i'll need to be able to call every day (sometimes more)
I'll be using skype (to landline or mobile in england) for the vast majority, But i'd like a payg sim that preferably works in a iphone 3g, so I can make calls to england without paying £3 a min on the days when i have no other choice.

are there any options?

If you intend to take your Pay Monthly SIM, I hope that you have your data package worked out beforehand.

You'll have 50MB to use for the month. for that you will pay £40. You can change that to 200MB for £120.

Of course you can switch off Data Roaming altogether.

As for a PrePaid SIM, you can just get a standard local SIM. Still over a Pound a minute to call the UK , but of course your family can call you, either via VOIP or a call-thru such as 18185. 6.5p per minute.

yeah, ill turn off data roaming. theres a lot of avalable wifi in hotels and cafes.
