Cheap Cheap Cheap Sweeties!!

What about some chocolate coins? They are usually fairly cheap near Christmas and they go along with the "money" theme. Also you wouldn't need to fill it up with them for it to look effective, and they wouldn't make the inside of the bottle all sticky and gooey.0

Why not be kind to his teeth and just add any spare change you have from now until you give it to him to the bottle.0

Keep losing my response - just as well as it wasn't particularly polite, so I'll try again for the third time............filling a 2ft tall savings cola bottle with sweets is the most idiotic idea in ages.
Sorry, not much more polite than my previous attempts. The poor lad would need to save his pennies (& his pounds) to pay for his dental care in the future.
If I were the parents of this child I'd hit you over the head with the sweetie filled weapon and then tip the contents into the bin. I imagine you have no children of your own at present, that's the only reason I can think of for this daft idea.
Forget a bucketload of sweets and take some of the other suggestions, I like andymandy's - make a start filling it with small change.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -

Or pehaps his parents will ensure he brushes his teeth after each helping of sweets and you'll stop being so condescending?
OP I think it's a lovely idea, pound shops often have a good variety of sweets.0 -

I also think it is a lovely idea and I am sure the child's parents arent going to let him sit there and eat the whole lot in one go.
However, will it be easy to get the sweets out afterwards? Would need to be some room in the bottle for movement. If it is too full the sweets might get stuck.0 -
depending on the age of the child, might basic lego blocks be an alternative to sweets?know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0
