Do I take their first offer, even though about half of what the PPI was? Cheers all ;-)

Are you sure its half the amount? How have they worded the offer letter?

Lloyds don't tend to make low offers anymore (although they used to).

    Was the response from Blackhorse?
  • Hi src
The amount I was claiming was £3136, they have offered £1634.32 The letter is from Lloyds TSB - they have listed the offer:
    Refund of Premiums £575.08
    Early settlement difference £587.82
    Int @ 8% calc up to 3.11.11 £471.42
    Total £1634.32
Is this because I paid the Loan off early, so should take it?
    Thanks for your help

    Hi there

Did they actually state if they upheld your complaint or state a goodwill gesture?

If the loan was settled early, you receive back what premiums you paid of the PPI plus the shown interest.

Could it be because the amount shown on your agreement when you taken this out was £3136? but because you did not pay all of that because of early settlement as such?

If this is the case, its possible the full amount.;)

    Does that make any sense?

  • Hi Di
I have read the letter again, and it does say - as our final response, we would like to offer you a refund of £1634.32 representing all the PPI premiums paid (inclusive of interest) plus simple interest at 8%. So thinking about it, I think it must be because I settled the Loan early. I think I will be accepting the offer.
Thanks all for your help ;-)
