My 13 year old daughter is lucky enough to be going ski-ing with school in france next year. We are not a ski-ing family, none of us have ever been or are likely to go! I see that lidl has ski jackets and trousers next week, can anyone tell me if they are any good, will they keep her warm enough?
Thanks
Thanks

Not tried Lidl but when my daughter went skiing she used Aldi gear which was fine and as she probably won't go again didn't break the bank!0

Hi Fojo you will probably get a better response if you post your question on the shop don't drop board:hello: “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away” anon.0 -

Hi Fojo
When you go skiing the important think is decent, waterproof gloves, comfy ski socks and a decent, warm hat. The rest needs to be layers that wick away sweat so I would recommend:
Thermal underlayer (top and bottoms)
Thin/ micro fleece
Thicker fleece
Ski jacket and salopettes
You do a lot of standing around when you learn to ski but the stuff you do do is hard work!!
Don't forget decent, polarised sun glasses and goggles and sun block as the light reflecting off the snow can burn and dazzle even when it's well into the minuses
I agree that the aldi stuff is decent enough but can't comment on the lidl stuff
Hope she has a fab timeIf you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

TK Maxx do excellent skiwear at reasonable prices. If you go to the reduced section the prices are even better.
Last year I got a pair of Salopettes reduced from £69 to £9:jThird time lucky on WW I hope :j

Another vote for Aldi gear. The Lidl stuff looks ok but haven't tried it. Another good place for ski gear is the French chain Decathlon - there are quite a few in the UK.0
