  • the title is a bit misleading if you dont know your soldering irons.

    75p means 3/4 of a pound to me .
  • I don't know why but I really fancy one of these.

Not sure what I'd use it for though lol

Soldering? LOL, nah it's really good, got hot knife, blow torch, hot air and deflector attachments so really versitile. Excellent for those folks who make jewelry etc.
  • Cool, it just reminds me of soldering in stuff in school.

Plus I could try and fix things that break! lol

Sorry, I assume this has upset you because the ebay profits you have calculated in your head have been dented severely?

    Am really tempted by this.
You say you already have one Giftedante? How long have you had it and has it been reliable?
Ive had the Portasol ones in the past and although they have worked well to start, fast heating and quick to refill, they have either became a pain to light or started leaking fairly quickly.
Ive tried a battery one too in the past and that was even worse.
Nope.... Still cant think of owt interesting to put here.

You can't blame gifteddante for that, 75P is the model number, and I consider it unlikely that gifteddante was involved in naming the product!!

I have had my one for around 14 months and have used it on average 2 times a month. It is robust and comed with handy attachments, the hot knife has been used several times to good effect. It lights first time every time, although if it is cold it takes a few clicks to get it going (Not enough gas pressure I think). It comes in a solid case with everything inside, I can totally reccomend it. I got mines as a free "upgrade" when I bought a lesser model that was faulty on arrival. I contacted Antex direct and they were very apologetic, they even sent it out before mines was in the post back to them, so on the warranty front, if anything were to go wrong you know the support is there.
