I love Paypal

I have just taken a quiz on Paypal security. In it they ask how you know a URL is genuine. Their advice is that since you don't know for sure then you should always open a new window and type the URL into it.

Over the past few days I have received two emails from Paypal with 'Aren't we wonderful' messages in them. Both of them had a 'Read More' button that took you to a web page which had a log in button on it.

I think they were both genuine since they both had my name on them but I forwarded them both to phishing@paypal.co.uk since they don't seem to following their own advice.

My name being on them is not as reassuring as it might be since my name is part of my Paypal email address so I would have thought it could be deduced by a clever phisher.

Other firms have done this in the past including Ebay.

I like Paypal. I think they make buying on line a breeze and I normally praise them but I think that they might have lost it for a second there.
It's not my fault your honour, they made me do it.

Yep, preventing you from taking your own money out of your account for any reason they see fit without having to disclose to you. :rotfl:
