Ending Times For listings

I was just wondering if people still think Sunday evenings are the best time to schedule listings to end? I have loads of stuff to list this weekend!

Liz, I am afraid this question comes up very frequently......it depends what your item is and who it is aimed at. Don't forget that Sunday evening here can be Monday morning somewhere else and Sunday morning in other places.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Sorry, should have realised it's already been asked! I'm mainly selling off some clothes. The point about Sunday/Monday times is a good one, although I only do UK and Europe postage (I know this reduces my market, but I accept that).
  • I wouldn't worry too much about it reducing your market - a lot of countries won't accept 'used' clothes.
  • My preference is early sunday evenings for valuable items, ie designer clothing items or electricals or rare items. Weekday late evenings are ok too but I tend to avoid Fridays as people are likely to go out for drinks after work etc.

Something also to consider is what will be on the TV when you auction is finishing. I've been caught out before by the return of Top Gear or X Factor and had people contact me afterwards telling me that they would have bid on my unsold items but were too busy and forgot!
