switching query
I am trying to help someone save a few bob by switching - they can get a better deal on the comparison site - but not sure if they will be penalised by eon for switching as they do not know when their present contract runs from (!) - tried ringing eon to ask but been on hold for twenty minutes while typing this on an 0845 number !! the present contract is called eon price protection april 2012.

I don't think there are any specific early exit fees for that product.
However, there is the Eon policy of not paying discounts on the final bill which I think means the loss of the possible 6% on the final bill for paying monthly by DD, and also another 2% for dual fuel.
So 8% discount loss on final bill, but a small amount at this time of year. I assume the savings by switching would far outwiegh such a small loss."Now to trolling as a concept. ....
