I am quite fancing going to gran canaria this year and have found somehwere that looks very nice has anyone stayed here sandy golf bungalows in Maspalomas. Have checked in out on holiday watchdog and the reviews all seem pretty good of it. But cant find anywhere where it says a lot about the bungalows and what is nearby. They dont seem to have their own website which seems a bit silly.
Found it for a bargain price on direct holidays and they still have that £1 deposit offer at the moment which is good!

We stayed there a few years ago and really enjoyed it.The apparments were lovely and had little hedges roung them with little flowers growing in them.
Check out holidays uncovered to get some more reviews and to get an idea of whats on etc. They seem to be mostly good reviews-

I've heard mixed reviews about the Gran canaria. Some says it's nice and some say it's ok for a week but for more than that...it's kinda boring. I would think ALicante etc. would be more fun but this of course is just my opinion :P

We stayed quite close to there. The bungalows seemed nice enough, but there isnt a lot to do in maspalomas. Playa del ingles is quite close, but not walking distance. If you hire a car or are looking to relax its fine.0

Don't know anything about the accommodation but if there isn't much going on where you stay, taxis are cheap and always easy to get hold of. Have never stayed in Maspalomas but have walked from Playa del Ingles to Maspalomas many times with two young children.0

Hi,
Have a look on holidaysuncovered and also Trip Advisor for reviews for your accommodation.
We have been to Gran Canaria 4 times (sad but true), and we love it. Basically because its 2 or 3 euros in a taxi to most places so you dont need to stay in 1 area.
The best beach and restaurants is Beach Boulevard which is where the lighthouse is. There is designer shops and lovely posh restaurants, (not plastic table cloths) the GRAN ITALIA being the best, you can tell its good cos people queue for tables when the other restaurants are dead! Maspalomas is full of rich Europeans, so its quite upmarket.
The rest of Maspalomas and Playa De Ingles have whats called Commercial Centres. These have bars, restaurants, shops, stalls etc. Faro 2 is in Maspalomas, the Banana Bar is good.
Playas De Ingles has Kasbah Centre and Yumbo centre among others. Pick up a map from your accommodation.
We havent paid more than £350 each for a week self catering. The resort is nice and the 2star apartment/bungalows are fine, we havent had a bad experience yet.
If people slate your accommodation then its usually because they expect high quality for a low price.
You will have a good holiday.Just owe Dad £2500 for a new car
