Sat/Sun 15/16th October- What small DFW things will you be doing today?
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Good morning everyone yippee its the weekend although with two wee ones my weekend is the same as the week lol
Congrats to WW on clearing all the debt.
1. Checked bank
2. Checked surveys (another 40p) Want to try and reach the £40 by christmas !
3.Do as much work as poss invoice goes in today !!!
4. Drop of the job and pick up another one (about 15hrs yeah)
5.Get DH to do shopping as he was late yesterday so didn't get it !!
Thats it for me today as going out for the day to bristol to pick up the job and doing it with two little ones so will be another long day !!
Hope you all have a good day

Thanks Tebheag!
Come on WALES!!!!
Up nice and early ready for the match - wish I was at home this weekend - may well pop home if we get to the final next week - not counting my chickens yet though!
Quite a lot to do today - I'm out at a black tie do tonight with my best friend and staying over at her house (about 40 mins away) - the dog is at the kennels for the night, poor poochy.
To do...- Watch the rugby (nervous now)
- Walk the dog
- Try to get fringe trimmed
- Clean the house
- Do a little bit of school work
- Do one load of washing
- Drop dog off at the kennels at tea time
- All food from stores
- Try not to spend ridiculous amounts tonight
- Drive carefully to friends to save petrol

Morning Tebheag and Welsh and everyone else who comes along :hello:
I haven't posted for a few days because I had another nightmare week at work. Got another coming up , then I am on leave for a week :T
Still, it is the weekend
:T :j
Today:
Sort out tomato mountain which has now mostly been picked off and is ripening in bowls and baskets in the kitchen and glass back porchy thing (not nearly posh enough to call it a 'conservatory' :rotfl:) and think what to do with the red ones. Maybe soup, as I have made and froze loads of sauce and puree (tomatoes have been great this year
)
Washing, and it looks as though it will be fine, so out on the line to dry
Hoovering upstairs (OH did downstairs yesterday
)
Bit of shopping
Make a fish pie for supper mainly with bits from the freezer
.
Only annoying thing is that my brother has turned up again  He intermittently lives with us because he can't be @r$ed to do anything for himself and I am too soft to sling him out. He also hasn't any money again (drinking? gambling?) so cannot even give me any money for his keep  He is like a particularly useless and dim teenager, even though he is 56 and was actually the brainy one of the family. A teenager would grow out of it, but sadly he won't! Grrr!
OH is therefore not very happy!0 -

1. Check Bank Account
2. Update Budget Spreadsheet.
3. Do a load of washing and hang out (if it stays dry, if not I shall blow on it until it is :rotfl:)
4. Check surveys.

Morning everyone!
This weekend must be focused on revision as I have an OU exam on Tuesday and I haven't even yet opened my books
So, around the revision, I will:
Check banks
Check CCs
Check TCB
Start budget for next month
Start writing Ebay listings - BiNs so not eligible for free listings
Tidy room - looks a tip!
Hoover!
Water and sort out plants, remove dead bits!
Update spreadsheets
Keep an eye on Grabbit for any Christmas presents
Make a start on the Groupon photo calendars purchased earlier in the week for my Nan and Mom.
R.E.V.I.S.E!!!!!!!!!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Ok I know he's your brother...but if he is doing this on a regular basis I don't think you're actually helping him by letting him get away with it! INSIST he pays his keep or he's out, you cannot afford to keep him (else you wouldn't be here with us!) so tell him that, & the more money he gives to you the less he can spend on booze & gambling therefore you're actually helping him by making him take some responsibility for himself. Go on Dawn - life is too short for letting someone (even your own siblings) walk all over you!
Ok so it's the weekend, yay! :j My sister & niece are down to visit so I'll be going to see them this afternoon
My plan:-- [STRIKE]OH doing overtime[/STRIKE]
- Charge phone via pc
- [STRIKE]Food from stores[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Attend prepaid appointment[/STRIKE] - try to leave early enough that I can drive there sensibly instead of burning fuel!
- [STRIKE]Dinner from meal plan[/STRIKE]
- Check for surveys
- [STRIKE]Enter comps[/STRIKE]
- Check online banking
- Check out this weeks flylady thread & do something
- [STRIKE]Washing on eco setting[/STRIKE]
- [STRIKE]Hang up to dry[/STRIKE]
- Pop to Mr T's - stick to list!
:idea:Debt at July 2012: £12,862.57

morning all. Come on Wales!!!! You can do it.
Am feeling very decedent at the moment. I am currently sat in a cafe using their free wifi and nursing a lovely hot chocolate bought by DH!! He has taken DD out kayaking to try out her new paddle (she's only just turned 4 so needs a very small one!) and I am obviously too fat to fit in a boat at the moment so am sat quietly in the cafe waiting for them.
so my list today
HC
ironing
tidy front room and kitchen
pop to cousin's party tonight - one drink each as we are taking DD and will be quite late for her
[STRIKE]surveys[/STRIKE] screened out
[STRIKE]check ebay listings[/STRIKE] couple of watchers and one bid
buy DD's much needed trainers and get cashback
get DH to paint nursery this weekend
finish knitting DD's hat
that'll do for now. have a good weekend everyone
unlucky Wales

Hi all!!!
So not a very DFW day for me today...! Am still at DB2's house but decided to go into town and do some shopping. Had mine and DD's hair cut and did a food shop too, only thing is we went to Mr S instead of Mr T's and I spent FAR more than I normally would!
Not much for me today then just a few bits:-
- Checked banking
- Cafe this morning on DB2
- Washing when I get home, line dry
- Bring home laptop DB has fixed....finally can post daily again!
- Convince DB3 to drop me into town later if he's not coming out
- Purchase a few bits for stag do I am attending tonight (I know...I'm female but they literally can't organise a pi55 up in a pub! Lol)
- Go out and let my hair down tonight! Drink/dance copious amounts and probably spend too much too!
Check in tomorrow in a terrible state no doubt :rotfl:
JxNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
[STRIKE]1. Check Bank Account[/STRIKE]- Done, no change, £30k hasn't magically appeared from somewhere :rotfl:
[STRIKE]2. Update Budget Spreadsheet.[/STRIKE]
3. Do a load of washing and hang out (if it stays dry, if not I shall blow on it until it is :rotfl:)
[STRIKE]4. Check surveys.[/STRIKE] One!
[STRIKE]5. See if I can find anything to sell on ebay.[/STRIKE] Two things placed on ebay and two onto Amazon
6. Have a NSD. Nothing planned today so I shall closet myself in the house with my purse firmly out of sight.
7. Housework (I suppose) Can you call looking at the carpet and thinking about hoovering doing the housework?Free by FiftyDebt of the Moment -August NSD Challenge 14/150 -
