BGas Confusing Comparison/calculator

I've tried using the BGas calculator but unless I'm being stupid, it couldn't be more confusing.
Based on my last three month's usage multiplied by four to give a 'year's worth' (i know, clearly not representative as it was summer, but ok to get a feel for now...), it suggested a tariff with these amounts:
£265.84
with Gas
Estimated annual spend
and
£249.081 with EnergySmart™
with Gas
Estimated annual spend
The figure quoted above includes an additional saving of £75 which you could achieve with EnergySmart™.
Find out more about EnergySmart™
What am I missing? How can a diff of roughly £15 equate to a potential £75 saving which is included?
Thanks
Bob

Post your kWh usage and someone can advise.
Multiplying your July-Sept usage by 4 will give a hopelessly low annual consumption figure, as the heating will not have been on for most of that period. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
You last bill should tell you how much gas you used last year, or give them a ring.
Be very wary of the 'savings' with energysmart, they are an illusion.
You'll only save if you reduce your consumption.
BG cheapest tarrif is Websaver 13, however you really should use a comparison site to see all your options. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
1. Pay close attention to the old "potential" savings scam. Adding the word potential to a claim, means that you might not save a single penny.
2. It is a really old marketing trick to sex a bad product up with a fancy name, and anything with a fancy name should be considered suspicious and "energysmart" fits the bill exactly.
3. A random quarterly bill doesn't come anywhere near to giving you an approximation of your annual use when multiplied by four.
4. There is only one reason for the existence of 400 different tariffs for one simple product, and that is to confuse the consumers so the pay more than they need.
5. BG are renown for misleading the public.0
