Barclays ppi - good news

I had read lots of posts with regards to barclays so thought i would share our experience so far.

we wrote to barclays on the 12th june 2011 following the forms on barclay website and we were told that they had 16 weeks to deal with our claim.

that date was up this week 12th arrived and no letter my husband called barclays and they said a letter was sent on monday he asked them to resend and today an offer letter has arrived offering all the money back plus 8% interest we just have to sign and send back so far they have stuck to their timescale

ill let you all know if we actually get the money and how long it takes

got letter from barclays on 14th sept saying they will pay back ppi within 40 working days .i have not heard anthing else just wondered if anyone had been paid .

I sent mine 17th July, said they would reply by 9th November.

I had phoned in August to chase and was told they were on target to do it by 9th November, they also followed that up in writing.

Not long until 9th. I won't be happy if I've not heard by then as they had double the time to do it. I appreciate they have lots and lots of these to do, but they shouldn't make promises they can't keep.

I've even filled out the Ombudsman complaint form readt to sind on the 10th I'm that sure they won't reply!!!!
