I tried to get this today, but you're unable to get the discount without a voucher from a newspaper.

The WHSmith's offer was also mentioned on HotUKDeals yesterday, no mention of having to buy a paper on there. Not doubting your word jocat, just seems a bit odd. If I see anything I'll post it here.

I tried to show them that in the store. I think the thread linked to the WHSmith's website, which I'm sure showed the discount on the website this morning. However by the time I went into the shop at lunchtime, it had disappeared from their website.

The manager was really good at trying to get me a discount, even ringing his area manager for advice - I was there for ages! The only discount for iTunes on their system now is via a newspaper voucher (think they are in the Express and Star at the moment). There will apparently be more launching from the 23rd November in several of the broadsheets.

Yeah, there's usually plenty around this time of year. Usually about 20% off the price of a gift card.

Asked at WH Smith in Dundee today and they said they weren't aware of any discount on iTunes just now
