I have a 500g HD (Western Digital) however I can only see 300gig of the whole drive. Is there anything I can do to get it right?

Do you have the other 200-odd gb set as a partition (maybe showing as an additional drive)??0

I can't see any partition here! when I go to properties & right click I only see one drive its in FAT32, says used = 284gig & free space = 13gig. I don't know were I went wrong!0

If you are on Win XP, right click 'My Computer' and go to 'Manage'. Choose 'Disk Management' from the new screen, this will display all or your disks on your PC. Should look like this:

The top one, usually Disc 0, is usually your Main hard drive. Does it show that it is split into 2? What does it say it's size/s are?
If you're on Win7 the process is pretty similar if I remember correctly0 -
Followed your instructions and it is exactly as in the picture shown. Yes your right! the Top part shows up as Disk 0 which is my
internal HD. 74.53GB NTS Healthy. The Row which is my external drive shows up as disk 1 298.09GB Fat Healthy ( this is the drive I have the issue with. I can't see no partition ( seen what they looked like in the past) You know what I think I may have delated a file in the WD EX Drive along time ago which may have messed things up.0 -
Might sound daft, but is the drive definately 500gb and not 320gb?0

I am sure it is 500G, although I did buy it many moons ago,0
