ive just had a man from eon at my door, i explained i was changing over to them and getting the key and card pre payment meters for both my gas and electric as i do have a debit with them and want it paid of a.s.a.p
he told me to ask for the track and save scheme which they have and it sounded great.
he then also went on about the age uk sceme they have and said for me to get that aswell, im only 22 and have a son but he said anyone over the age of 18 can actually get this scheme and it does sound really good and it'll help me save money.
but is it true anyone over 18 can get this scheme??
would love to know if this is actually true any thanks lauren x

I just looked it up as it sounded interesting and came across this old thread, looks like the prices are quite high.

Don't believe anything a door to door salesman tells you-their sole concern is to get their commission.
If you want a cheaper tariff, use a comp site and a cashback site in that order.
Are Eon the only company still touting door to door?No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Hi laurenpither89
We joined up with AgeUk 12 years ago, to offer some plans that might help older people.
They are open to everybody not just pensioners, so It sounds like our agent was trying to give you all the options. They’re not just salesmen and are trained to offer energy saving advice too, so a visit from them really can save you money.
Comparison sites are a great way of finding the right plan for your needs, if you’re already with us and in debit then you might not be able to switch right away. You can always give us a call if you’re not sure.
Hope this helps
Amanda

hi amanda for eon,
thank you for your help the door to door man was only at the door to ask if i had a pre paid meter but i ended up talking through lots of things with him and just wanted to know all my options so i glad you have got back to me and comfirmed i can have this option.
obviously with a debit i may not be able to get it but its still an option for me when i have finally got out of debit with eon
having a child i need all the money i can get so him helping me save money has made me very pleased with staying with eon and not going anywhere else.
many thanks for all replies
