suppliers change and remove prepay meter
hi my daughter and her husband have just brought a house that's got a prepay meter on and have been told by will they will have wait 12 months before it can be changed and it will cost them 60
after contacting EDF they said it would be 6 weeks and be free has anybody else had this, perhaps the house is blacklisted from the old owners?

No some suppliers need to get a payment history, if not available from a previous residence then they may ask for a deposit. If EDF will do it for free, check the tariff and decide or ask another supplier.0
