Amazon Kindle.......terrible customer service. My kindle packed up, Amazon sent me a new one and arranged for courier to pick up faulty kindle. Courier failed to turn up twice! Amazon told me to post it and gave me the address. Now they say they have not received it and have charged my account for another kindle.

Really upset over this and Amazon refusing to sort out!

So the courier doesn't turn up and you post the Kindle back with no insurance/proof of postage (judging by your post,) and that's Amazon's fault?

    Exercise Your Rights.
I have bought five Kindles, three different models, The Keyboard then 3 Kindles then 1 Kindle touch.
One kindle was dropped and melted itself (battery damaged?) and was replaced in the Warrently period (with excellent service and responce from Amazon), Two others have developed Screen blurs/lines/dark areas and I have had to Argue the point for replacement. Amazon attempted to have me BUY replacments for thier faulty goods but after re-afirming my rights I have on two occasions had the faulty devices replaced.
see copy of internet chat below.

AMZ: Iam sorry to hear of the issue with your Kindle, it does sound like an issuewith the screen. In that case I would like to arrange for a replacement to besent out to you but unfortunately, your Kindle is no longer covered by the oneyear limited warranty. However I can provide you with an option to purchase oneof our newer model Certified Refurbished Kindles with a special discount; theKindle WiFi device for £47.20, the Kindle Touch Wi-Fi at a reduced price of£67.99, the Kindle Paperwhite Wi-Fi at £75.20 or the Kindle Fire at £87.20, theKindle Fire HD 7" 16 GB device for £107.20 with Special offers or theKindle Fire HD 7" 32 GB device with special offers for £139.20. Thesedevices would come with a 12 month warranty period.

Me:Wheni bought these Kindle devices I expected them all to last for at leastfive years as they are solid state electronics. We have had faults with two ofthem now. The fact the there have been two devices with screen faults clearlysuggests a manufacturing issue on these devices and I find that this is Uniftfor purpose under the sales and supply of goods act and therefore request aFree replacement.

AMZ: I am sorry to hear of the issues you have had with yourKindle and due to the circumstances we can make an exception in your case andreplace it with the same model of Kindle for free if you wish.
