Car Insurance Pickle - Please Please Help

Options
Hi, I have got myself into a pickle with car insurance and need some advice.
Here is the history:
sept 2010 broke my old car, bought an estate car - decided it was too big for normal everyday driving - so Oct 2010 got a low emmissions fiesta.

The estate registered in my name and was insured in my name.
I used my no claims discount (now 4 years) on the estate car, my partner(common law/cohabiting) was a named driver on the estate.

The fiesta also registered in my name and again insured in my name.
This has 1 year no claims discount.
We kept the estate and used it as weekend family car with me driving the fiesta in the week.
When I got insurance for fiesta - used admiral multicar policy, with the estate coming onto the policy in June 2011 (june was end of my fiesta last policy - and I had put the estate onto this policy with Hastings).

Now the current situation
Both cars registered in my name.
Have just insured managed to insure the estate with QuotemeHappy.com - with my partner as the insured (he has 9 points :() - but when I check the old admiral policy - i noted that the estate has 4 years no claims and the fiesta now has 1, but when getting quotes I had put only 1 years no claims on the estate and 4 for the fiesta - what do I do? (incidentally my partner and used his previous no claims discount to insure his work van some years previous. I have now paid for quotemehappy insurance.

Also - to make matters worse. We live on a boat in a marina. For insurance, we have to give the Marina company as our insurance address. We own the boat - it is our home. The car is parked on private property - the marina is located within a gated community. I have just tried re-insuring the fiesta and took sheila's wheels as it was the lowest fully comp quote. When I phoned them to pay, they said their underwriter wouldn't insure the fiesta because of the marina address (I have been living here for 5 years and have never made an insurance claim). I had put that address down on the on-line form so why did they waste my time even quoting.

What should I do now?
When I fill out another form, it will say have you been refused insurance - being honest, I would have to say yes - but that doesn't feel fair to me.
I'm tempted to ask a friend who owns their bricks and mortar home if I can use their address as a postal address for my car insurance.
Should I go and see an insurance broker to sort out the mess of the no claims discount and find a policy that properly suits our needs?
What do I do about the no claims discount?
Should I quote with QuoteMeHappy, as the estate is now insured with them.
Really need some good advice - don't know what to do. Try to ask the partner but he just goes of on a rant about the injustice of it all - but this doesn't help me.:(

This part, i always took it to mean refused a payout. For example if you had a modified car that contributed to an accident but hadn't declared the mods the company, the company would be able to say "no insurance for you"

In your case you have been refused a quote, essentially no different than when you run a comparison and only get 70/120 companies back.
