What a lovely poem, thanks so much. Despite the hopeless condition this has left me in, , this is the best freebie I have seen for weeks.

I think I might have seen it some years ago in the Fireside Book or the Friendship Book, which I no longer have every Christmas, not having grandparents any more.
Just off the border of your waking mind, there lies another time ....

As lovely as it was, are we really classing poems as freebies now?

This board is filling up with increasing amounts of non-freebie items and it gets more difficult to find the genuine offers.

    Spam...
    Poems...
    Happy New Year messages...
    Merry Christmas...
    Happy Easter...
    Happy Hannukah...

Maybe we need another board called "Genuine Freebies" and then the real offers can be moved across...

I don't like griping and thank goodness we live in a country where free speech is permitted, so bear in mind this is my opinion.

I know some will think "If you don't like it then go elsewhere" but I don't think that Martin and the board moderators are beyond constructive criticism otherwise the board wouldn't have lasted as long as have as huge a userbase as it does.

Anyway, I'll get down off my soapbox now and get my fire extinguisher ready for all the flames :-(

It's a free poem and a very good one at that, what's your problem! If you don't like what you see then click the back button and look at something else.

You mention 'free speech', well this is a free website which contains free information on many free things, this poem is one of those many free things. Using up bandwidth with whining posts isn't beneficial to anybody. All you did was spoil an excellent thread.

I fully agree. Ive never felt more emotionally soft than I have since having my gorgeous 19 month old son xx :o

Simate, please grow up. If you read my post again you will see that as I expressed, it was my opinion and I wasn't simply whining (as you put it). Martin put this forum here so people could save money by getting things free. I don't happen to think that poems really qualify and appeal to the reason behind the board. Maybe you think that if people see spam posts, they can simply press the back button too?!

There are some excellent poetry sites on the web and my comments did not detract from the sentiment in the thread but before you open any wider and put both feet in, try reading in more detail first.
