They were not rude comments, there's no need to be like that. It's just a difference of opinion. I love poetry myself, Shakespeare being my favourite - he is out of copyright of course, but it hadn't occured to me to reproduce his work here, or offer a link to the multiple sites which offer his work free online, because it doesn't seem a "freebie" in the context of this site to me, and also because if we all did this for our favourite authors, the site would be snowed under with literature.

I don't find this posting of a poem offensive or trollish, I wouldn't report it, and I haven't criticised the poem itself. I just was echoing the point raised above. Simply a difference of opinion, NOT rudeness.

So I guess your comment was aimed at me then.

Could you please explain what part of my comments were rude exactly?

I have read my post again and it all seems like common sense and fact but I stand to be corrected Amie399. I could so easliy have added sarcasm, rolling-eye smileys and the like, but that wasn't the tone I wanted my post to have.

It's a poor story when someone posts genuine constructive criticism only to be told they are rude.

I think there need to be some kind of guidelines as to what constitutes a freebie, otherwise you will get posts like:

"Free whilst stocks last, I opened my front door this morning and inhaled and got free oxygen".

thank you op for this beautiful poem, it brought a tear to my eye
  • OMG, I lost my dad at 7 (am now 35) have sat & cried for reading this.

OP thanks for posting this beautiful poem and I don't think it is in the wrong place - if it had been anywhere else I probably wouldnt have read it and everyone else too.
In the middle of all this freebie hunting, coupon cutting, moneysaving madness it doesnt hurt us to stop for a mo and read something that touches your heart.

    Thanks again
