eBay Free Listing this Weekend

Pointless - eBay are saving you virtually nothing by comparison with the inflated final value fees they pull in. Any saving on the listing fee is more than counteracted by the lower prices achieved because of the flood of listings by people who think they're getting some kind of bargain.
The only bargains are for the buyers - lower prices.0 -
It might be pointless for you, but I find them handy as I've been happily clearing out junk using FLDs.0

The way to get round this is to assume you'll get no more than one bid and list at the price you hope to achieve on a normal listing day or the price you'd ask for on a buy it now.0 -

I agree thats what I do and some items have even gone for more than what I expected ,these free listing weekends have been really useful for me.0 -

I don't mind paying a fee for a successful sale. It's only fair.
It's the idea of paying money up front for the CHANCE of selling stuff(listing fees) that is a great way to lose money.
Do like the idea of a PayPay free day though. It's the loading of 25p on small value items, as well as on postage charges that make it really silly for low value (and heavy!) items.
For smaller sales it is wroth opening a paypal micro account as fees are lower.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I know I have had a whinge about this before. However, I don't agree with paying paypal a percentage of the postage. I always have to add a bit on to the postage to allow for this. It makes me so angry .0

I was only saying to my other half last night I thought there must be a problem with my e-mail as I hadn't had one from ebay about free listing for this weekend and they have been every two weeks for ages now - I just keep clicking relist on the same old stuff and it sells eventually !
But don't you pay to relist every time (apart from the first) - so it ends up costing money surely.0
