My sister, after many delays by a buyer in her chain of 5, was due to exchange contracts today. However as it was the end of the day, not all 5 buyers contracts have been exchanged.
The buyer who has been delaying things and my sister are yet to exchange. The solicitor advises it will happen first thing Monday morning. Can the other buyer still pull out even though 3 of the buyers have exchanged ?
I thought it a bit odd that the solicitors wouldn't finish exchanging this evening but I know zilch about property stuff, hence why I am here !

just wanted to say the same thing has happened to me today and everyone keeps trying to calm me dowm saying it will happen, i think the whole chain has to exchange for it to be binding ( not too sure) and can still pull out till all have exchanged ,thats why i feel this is the most stressful part. But as you have got this far it looks promising all will go well.moved on 2nd feb07:beer:0
