Hurrah its payday!!!!!
I've just moved all the lovely bonus and back pay money around online and now have no CC balance, no OD, £2000 extra in the ISA and £200 in the living room savings.:j:j
I've also done a budget for the month with the regular salary that's gone in too.
Have to take the dog to the vet for a kennel cough vaccination later and maybe pop to Mr T's but other than that have nothing to report other than going to work and walking the dog.
Its a big shop this week - why does everything run out at the same time? Need laundry and cleaning stuff, freezer stuff, store cupboard things and the usual shopping. Will be a biggy! At least there's money in the bank!
Hope everyone is gearing up for a good weekend!0 -
What a fantastic feeling that must be WW. Does that make you almost debt free?WelshWoofer wrote: »I've just moved all the lovely bonus and back pay money around online and now have no CC balance, no OD, £2000 extra in the ISA and £200 in the living room savings.:j:jMaking magic with fabricLight travels faster than sound. Totally debt free!:j:j
I was a few months ago but then split with OH and redecorated so put a bit back on the CC while sorting the finances out in anticipation of the bonus that was definitely coming.
So back to no loans, CCs or ODs - just a mortgage that I don't count. There's "only" £80k on that too so not mammoth and quite manageable. When I get a bit more in the bank to fall back on (6 month wages is the done thing I think) the mortgage over payment is the next target. BUT the living room needs doing too - hence the saving for that - no more CC!0 -
I haven't been on this site for ages - think I'll be back soon as my boyfriend spends £200 a month more than he has
He found a box of 12 eggs in the cupboard (now in the fridge) that have a use by date of 22 September. Are they safe to use, or should be write them off and put them in the compost bin?
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I hope someone can help. £40 to get to the end of the month so we need all the help we can get, please

Hello everyone
survived eastern europe but meant I was down to last pennies until I got paid today - have put claim in for expenses so should be able to send that straight to Christmas 'pot'. Was DS#3's birthday today so that contributed to bottom of barrelness, as well as DS#2's planned school trip.
Seems every month is getting tighter and harder to keep any aside for my many 'pots' . Am supposed to be putting some away each month so when MOT is due in January I can afford it but I haven't been able to do that for last 2 months.
Well done WW on your back pay , especially on moving it into sensible savings. Don't go betting it on a Wales win now will you! :rotfl:
Pob luc Cymru tomorrow, and hope everyone has a good weekendGetting there...slowly!
GC : must do better
NSD: very rare
No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.0 -

True, but if you were wanting to sell a high value item then a free listing weekend is the time to do it as you don't need to spend more money on reserves etc, just put it up there for the minimum you want it to go for.Deleted_User wrote: »I haven't been on this site for ages - think I'll be back soon as my boyfriend spends £200 a month more than he has

I've eaten eggs that far after the use by date & been fine but they were stored in a very good fridge! Martin's advice on eggs is not to risk it at all after the use by date as the risk of salmonella greatly increases, & to be honest if they were in the cupboard I wouldn't risk it...
