How to get local bus service to listen?

Hello, can anyone advise - recently our local bus company took off our peak time bus and now in our area we face either paying (most have bus passes) for a midland red, or walking 25 mins.

Loads have called, written and we are getting no response.

Thought we were to be "encouraged" to use public buses????

Any advice out there would be appreciated.

id contatc your MP, maybe the company would listen to your MP more, have they given a reason why they have cancelled the service

I know that for 8 of our "out of town" offices we have to pay the local bus companies 6 figure amounts per year for them to continue services out past our offices. We did call one of the companies bluff once and even though we had 600 staff a day using the bus to get into the office they stopped the service so that our staff had to walk 30 mins to get to the office.

At the end of the day the bus service has been privatised and whilst they receive subsidies from local councils they will only run routes that remain profitable. If a company or council pulls funding then it may no longer be profitable and so the bus company stops the route
