Max and Judy dolls and catching stars!

~I'm throwing myself at your mercy again, folks. I'll just tell you the story and see if anyone can help!
My 3 year old has been a bit slow on the uptake on the potty training front. So on Christmas day Santa left him a message telling him that there was an extra present that he would get when he was potty trained. On Boxing Day he asked for pants first thing in the morning and is dry most of the time now, including nights. We're having the odd accident, but mission accomplished as far as we're concerned.
So we asked him what he'd like Santa to bring him. He asked for a Max and a Judy soft toy. (From the Tweenies.) He already has the 4 tweenies (20p each from the charity shop toy bin.) He sleeps with them every night and they join in when we read bedtime stories etc. BUT I can't find max or judy anywhere.
So does anyone know where to get these?
I told him today that Santa might not be able to bring those particular things and was there anything else he might like. He said,
'Nothing for me. But I'd like him to bring Jimmy a star.'
I asked him what kind of star and he said,
'A twinkling star from the sky.'
Jimmy is his little brother who is due to be born next month. And I would love to get him both the dolls AND a star for his brother.
ANY ideas would be gratefully received. I think he's too young to appreciate a certificate saying Jimmy 'owns' a star although I understand that these things can be bought. He is quite up on space stuff though and also knows that stars are pretty big. (But not as big as China apparently.)
What can we do? Dolls and stars. Any ideas? (Money saving ones though as we don't want to spend a lot.)
Oh and I think that was me just announcing what the baby's name is.

Top name Gingham.
Oh, I cant help - yet. My girls are too grown up for Tweenies - I'll ask my sis.
I'm going to have a bath in a min - I'll have a think about where to buy a star from - on the cheap
ps, top son for wanting a star for his brotherSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
Have you tried ebay or freecycle as a starting point?
With regards to the star, think artistic licence Would a star light count? Or some fairy lights? Or an ornament? Or a star shaped mirror or something similar?
Oh and Jimmy - cool name. Like it alot!Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
Blimey Quackers - did you post that message enough times?!!!!Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0

No ideas about tweenies ..Sorry.
How about painting a star on his bedroom ceiling with luminous paint so that it glows when he turns the light out.
you can get little luminous packs of stars and planets but they aren't very big, so painting your own would prob be better.

I've got a pic of a star I want to show you but I've just got to spend time to find out how I get the pic hereSometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0

ok, me finks I've been clever
Here goes :
There is a little switch underneath and it gives off a bluish glow once lit - not shown very well here. The base is a bit plain - we decorate it with tinsel at xmas.
ok, just done a preview and the pics are HUGE - the shouldn't distort the page so I'm leaving them. I'm really not clever enough to make them smaller.Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
I'm sure there are sites where you can name a real star after someone and get a certificate to prove it. I can't remember the names of the companies just now, but if I find them, I'll edit this or post again.0

I don't know if they make Max and Judy in plush like the other characters but I shall hunt and see if they do knitting patterns as my Mother made knitted toys for years (all the proper TV characters not just generic bears and things) and could probably be persuaded where a kiddie is involved lol.:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0
