Bit of a tight week this week, but there's stuff in the freezer that needs using (Will be doing 3 to 4 nights a week of hm freezer food for the next three weeks or so - then it'll another cook and freeze day - aka the how many different things can I make from mince day - current list stands at about 25 different mince recipes.)

Monday: Leftover pork from Sunday roast, with mash potato, carrot and cabbage.
Tuesday: HM Burgers (in freezer) with corn on cob and onion rings
Wednesday: Liver, onions, mushrooms, and sweet potato mash.
Thursday: Spag bol (make double of mince/tomato etc and freeze)
Friday: Chilli (in freezer) and potato wedges.
    Saturday: Keema curry with rice.
Sunday: Mutton chops with roast potatoes, kale and carrots.

Breakfasts will be cereal from the short date stall in the market, and porridge.
Lunches for me will mostly be soup and bread (because I can take that to work.) DH and DS who are at home will probably have a mix of soup, sandwiches and beans on toast.
Puddings. Me and DH don't usually have any pudding, DS will have a mix of fruit and soya yoghurt (as he can't have dairy.)
Snacks will be HM biscuits (when I make them), a cinnamon raisin loaf (already made.)

  • Late again this week! Also struggling due to *feeling like I am repeating the same meals over again* but no time to prepare anything new due to schedule/guests/trying to run down freezers etc...

Sun (was) Spag bol for the kids and Pepper soup, crusty bread and filled rolls for DH & I.

    Mon - Aparagus risotto

Tues - Baked tatties, assorted fillings (sweetcorn/cheese/hm colslaw) and salad.

Weds - Beef/veggie Burgers and salad.

Thurs - Macaroni (kids) Cherry tomato and marscapone pasta (adults)

Fri - Chicken/Veggie Enchiladas, nachos and potato wedges.

Sat - Curry (have lots of leftovers in freezer - enough to feed everyone!)

*The above is subject to change due to school holidays and the high chance of the kids requesting guests ;)

Good luck sticking to your plans this week :D
  • Got back from holiday on Sunday to find that my spare freezer had broken and there was alot of food that had to be thrown away that had been sitting there for a week without being frozen - yuk!!!! Got to get another fridge freezer for the spare room now as it comes in VERY useful.

So, decided to make a mealplan from my main freezer to use stuff up, so it can be defrosted and made ready for the winter / christmas onslaught.

So, these are my meals planned for the next 10 days in no particular order...

HM Cottage Pie and Veggies (from freezer)
HM Chilli - mixed with Mince & Roasted Veg (from freezer) & Rice
    Lamb Chop Dinner
Chicken, Bacon & Mushroom Rissotto (Shredded LO Chicken & Bacon Bits from the freezer)
Fish with HM Tomato Sauce & Pasta (Fish from freezer)
    Omlettes & Salad
Beef Stirfry with Oyster Sauce (Beef in freezer)
HM Fish Pie topped with swede & potato mash (fish in freezer)
Posh Sausage & Mash (Sausages in freezer)
Sunday will eat at MIL's and have bacon sandwiches (bacon from freezer) for breakfast

    Have a good week all.
