I always feel that cooked meat is not as nice once it has been frozen, that it has a sort of stringy, watery quality to it.
Maybe it's the way I have frozen it (just in a chunk in a freezer bag, or sliced and wrapped in foil).
So what are other people doing that I'm not? Advice please, as it would be useful not to always have to make leftovers into a casserole!Oh dear, here we go again.0 -
Have you tried freezing it in gravy Jenny ? I do slices in gravy into freezer bags. One day I might be more organised...........

I haven't tried it with gravy, maybe that would be the answer. I suppose it would be the same as freezing it as a casserole so in theory it would freeze just as well.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll give it a go next time we have a roast.Oh dear, here we go again.0
