Perhaps try soaking the pan in hot water and washing liquid/powder?
Or post you question on the Old Style board, someone there will know the answer better than me! Sorry if I'm no help!0 -

Just put water in the pan, and boil it all up, tip the water out, and wipe down the pan.0

Hey,
I had the same disaster when making fudge, i have resined myself to buying the bloomin' stuff now. Boil water in the pan but if you add lemon juice it should bring your pan up to looking brand new

Hi always finding boiling vinegar in the offending saucepan works for me, cider vinegar is the best but normal vinegar works as good.
I have always used Calico Cottage fudge kits which are available and been on this week from a well known shopping channel. It taste just like home made but easy to complete.0 -
It may sound strange but the best thing for cleaning burnt pots and roasting tins is to soak them overnight with washing powder in. Ariel or Persil - doesn't matter which kind but it works well. I usually pop the powder in then top up with boiling water.
It's also good for cleaning oven shelves. Just soak them for a couple of hours.NO FARMS = NO FOOD0 -
Am I the only Aggie and Kin fan?
Boil up some coke in the sauce pan - should clean it right up! And any spare dump down the loo and leave over night... shiney loo!
Now I really want to have a crack at making fudge... !!!!!! lolDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Really good advice on here.. if it were me I would hide it somewhere hubby wouldn't find it (perhaps behind the ironing pile) and deny any knowledge of it existing
