Morphy Richards are worth looking at as they have a 2 yr guarentee. I was given one several years ago and each time I wore it out within those 2 yrs I rang them and they sent a replacement. Once the original 2 years were up They offered me a discount and I got this one

Its got 3 temp settings. Only charged £23.50 and free delivery. Always found their CS really helpful and kettles arrived within 2/3 days.
Our kettles have to cope with hard water and heavy use. hth0 -

i had the tefal one cup when it first came out, a few years ago. ok if making 1 or 2 cups at a time, but too long if needing more. it takes longer than 3secs to fill a mug. also not very hot, by time u added the milk, its just drinkable.0

I use a Tesco stripey kettle and it is boiled at least twenty times a day.
This one is about two years old and will probably last another year.....I put the receipt in the box and put it in the loft so that I can get it replaced but have never had to do that.
I only put enough water for 2 cups in as I don't want to keep boiling water that I won't use and fill it to just over min each time.0 -
Collected a Tefal Express Boil and the temperature seems fine, especially for coffee, though I hope it does boil the water for safety - health reasons0

My last one was 10 years old. It was just a simple white plastic cordless Tefal one. I had to replace it a couple of months ago as it started to leak at the water gauge.0
