Morning London Commute Help

Hi All
I was wondering if anyone could help me with some money-saving suggestions on getting to work in the morning.
I live in London but work in Surrey (outside of London travel zones). I currently PAYG on my Oyster to get a bus to the train station, then use a National Rail monthly season ticket to get to my work. This is costing me a fortune as the season ticket is expensive. I am also then constantly topping up my Oyster, for both work and my home life which is spent predominantly in London.
Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the best value for money when commuting out of London? Sorry for the long post and thanks in advance for any help!

Hi, am in Tooting, go to Clapham Junction and end up in West Byfleet.0

Well a West Byfleet to London season ticket incuding a zone 1-6 travelcard is £287.70 a month. Your current season costs £194.70 a month. Do you spend £93 a month on the Oyster? Probably not but the answer is there if you do0

Ah thanks, that's the cost I was trying to find but couldn't get it. My current ticket actually costs £207.80.
Could you please tell me where I can find the calculator for adding a zonal travelcard to my season ticket?
Thanks a lot for your help though!0 -
A zone 2-6 travelcard on Oyster costs £132.10.
Covers buses, Clapham Junc and Surbiton. See here.
A monthly season Surbiton to West Byfleet is £132.50.
See here.
Can you easily get from Tooting to Wimbledon, instead of Clapham Junc?
If so a zone 3-6 travelcard will do... at £105.30 per month.
Edited to add:
Near Tooting National Rail Station?
A monthly season from there to West Byfleet is £194.70 via Wimbledon.0 -

Thanks, that's really useful figures. Will have to have a think about my options as Wimbeldon is a toughie to get to but might be worth the extra effort. Thank you so much everyone!0 -
Might consider other rail stations too. Thanks for the suggestion.0

If you price 'all options' it normally includes one with the travelcard0 -

Wimbledon isnt an effort to get too from tooting - it takes 6 mins on the train."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0
