Which Adobe program for a newsletter?

Am putting together a newsletter, which I want to publish as a .pdf, but I'm not sure which program I would use to create it. I have Adobe Acrobat Writer, but it seems that that is just for converting other files to .pdf format.
Am I missing something, or is there a better Adobe program to use?
Cheers

Easiest, & cheapest method is to create your newsletter in whatever program you're used to using - Word, Publisher, Paint - whatever, & then get a program called CutePDF from http://www.cutepdf.com/ - it just installs as another printer. When you've completed your newsletter, go to File & Print & choose CutePDF - it will then be saved as a .pdf file. Best bits are that it's free and works brilliantly.
While you're about it, try using Foxit Reader from http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php - again, it's free, doesn't need installing (just copy the program to its own folder somewhere & run it from there - after the first use it can be used as the default reader), it starts up a lot quicker than Adobe reader & also has a 'typewriter' facility for adding notes to existing .pdf documents.0 -
You have really answered this question yourself, as you have the software to do it already.
The Adobe Acrobat Writer PDF Solution
This is how it works:
1. create your document with the program of your choice e.g. Word, Excel or PageMaker.
2. use the full version of Acrobat Writer or one of the free Acrobat creators e.g. Cute PDF Writer, to create an Acrobat PDF version of your file (filename.PDF).
2. distribute your file by: email, publish on the web, floppy disk or however you like.
4. the recipient can then read your file using a free Acrobat PDF document reader.
Free Acrobat readers are supplied by Adobe for all major computer types.0 -
If you actually want to use an adobe program to design the newsletter, I'd highly recommend Indesign, its basically a professional desktop publishing packaging. If you're used to photoshop and other adobe programs, Indesign will be a breeze. If you don't have indesign, Quark 5 is available at the moment for £4 or there abouts from CD on the cover of a magazine (see the grabbit it while you can board for more on that). I find quarks quite difficult to use compared to Indesign because I'm so used to photoshop etc.
Indesign can easily be export to PDF, as they are both adobe programs you get a lot of options etc and its very easy to do. Adobe acrobat pro even has an option to make a PDF straight from an indesign file.~Diminutive0 -
Worth noting OpenOffice can print directly to pdf0
