Holiday complaint

I went on holiday in November and came back at the beginning of december. On the 4th i made a complaint to the holiday company i booked with and they replied saying it would be dealt with in no more than 28 days. About a week after the 28 days i contacted them asking why i hadnt heard anything and they said they were still dealing with it.

What i would like to know is there anything else i can do to speed things up or have i got to sit and wait for them to do whatever it is they are doing? Do they have a legal obligation to deal with it in a certain amount of time?

Thanks in advance..

If they are ABTA they have an obligation to contact you within 28 days. Judging by them quoting 28 days I would think they are. I would contact ABTA and explain the delay. They will contact the company and them to explain themselves, they will take your complaint seriously now they know you have contacted ABTA, and voila, I bet you get a resolution.
