New Laptop

Hi Can anyone suggest a good reasonable priced laptop. Ideally something with a webcam, its for my mum and it will be her first computer, she will be mainly watching video clips, downloading the odd bit of music, playing some online games (puzzle type games).

It's all very well linking to a website, but which machine there would you suggest is suitable?

I am not sure why you have made that point, the link to the site I provided was merely for the OP to get an idea of what is on offer for below the £200.00 mark.

Absolutely any modern laptop will do those basic tasks-what is your definition of a 'reasonable' price? Going by some recent posts on here, that can mean anything from £200 to £600.

I made that point because I didn't see anything suitable there, so perhaps you saw something that you would recommend?

Look on ebay daily deals section you normally get ebuyer offering fairly decent speck (more than suitable for your needs) circa £250

Edit** Typical theres only one on there today from zavvi, £290 more than suitable! Keep looking cheaper more suitable ones will pop up

It's £280 from DABS. Here. 'Today Only'. In fact it is the one to which I have linked, sold by the same company, but £20 cheaper via their EBay Outlet. A bargain for what it offers..

If you want to spend less, there is this MSI A6300 for £238.
