  • Thank you Graham, I wasn't sure what statement you were.

I would like to ask some further questions: -

Why do you think property should be affordable at 4 times an average single income (not mean male which is what the indexes are usually based against)?
It has been discussed before that part time, low income earners are generally not house buyers

What do you think needs to happen to ensure that house prices do drop 40%? and do you think that is likely?

If prices were to drop 40%, how do you think that would impact current home owners (on average)?

What is the likely outcome for a government that oversea a 40% reduction in property prices?

Finally and yes I am talking historically and hypothetically, how much x income has house prices on average been throughout the time that peole have paid for home ownership i.e. not self built from own sourced materials

Seems like neither Graham nor geneer wish to answer these simple questions.
Even after I had responded with my viewpoints as requested.

    Why am I not surprised.;)

Why would I answer your obviously loaded, and nothign to do with what I was saying, questions?

I've already clarified what I was saying, twice. But you are insistent on trying the loaded questions to try and divert me down another path. Desperate much?

Maybe its because you dodge questions every time you are on here, things you do all the time tend not to surprise you.

Why would I want to answer the questions that weren't originally directed at me and that I have no interest in.

Im all honesty, I've previously noticed that theres a certain kind of poster who, when on the ropes, tends to dump a large number of question into the mix in the hope that the individual they direct them at can't be bothered answering them.

Its a rather obvious tactic if you don't mind my saying.

So I called you out on it.

Since this has forced you to attempt to answer your own questions (I assume this is the case...I haven't read them) I do wonder why you originally chose to use questions rather than putting forward your own arguments.

I suspect GD has stated the truth of it.

It seems you were interested previously and the questions were directed at you after I gave my response.

Seems you simply didn't want to give a response.

Indeed, you could deduct that you didn't like the answers you would have given

    They were not loaded.
The were open ended questions, free for you to open your answer and provide insightful responce for further debate.

One can only conclude that you couldn't answer with anything realistic that would align to what you hope for.

Nope. I wasn't interested previously. I've already explained where I was coming from.

Seems you simply didn't want to give a response.

Because I wasn't interested. Haven't I already said this. :rotfl:

I never read your questions. I never read your answers.
I was not interested in either.
    Clear enough yet?

Why do you bother to post?
Is it purely to try and wind people up?
    Won't work I'm afraid.

you clearly and demonstrably asked for my viewpoints on my questions, so naturally one would assume you read the questions and had an interest.

To now claim you weren't interested just begs the question, why dod you post and ask in the first place.

If you have no interest in staying on topic or having a decent discussion on the points, lets leave it there.

I've already explained why I posted.
I felt I was witnessing a transparent (and often seen) method of muddying the discussion and wanted to draw attention to the same.

    GD seems to agree.

you clearly and demonstrably asked for my viewpoints on my questions, so naturally one would assume you read the questions and had an interest.

Not need to assume. I 've already clearly explained why. Just a few posts above.
You responded to this post, so its clear you read it.
To now claim you weren't interested just begs the question, why dod you post and ask in the first place.

Only if you insist on ignoring the fact that I've already answered this.
As you have chosen to ignore this fact, I can only assume you are doing so simply to assist your transparent
efforts to paint me in the darkest terms possible whilst elevating your own contribution.
If you have no interest in staying on topic or having a decent discussion on the points, lets leave it there.

If you wanted to leave it there, you should have left it there.
Lets face it, your apparent insistence on getting the last word negates your posturing somewhat.

For my part I reserve the right to comment on tactics I believe to be facetious, unfair or detrimental to sensible discussion. Regardless of how nicely they are dressed up.
