  • You "buy" it from the shop, but it's a free application so it won't cost you anything.

It's so long since I set mine up that I can't remember if I had to set up an account first, but I don't recall doing so.

Once installed, it's quite fun trying to click on the program you want with the wii remote, it takes me ages, I think I have the shakes. Kids are better at it, no problem to them.

You can also 'buy' the Internet Channel (Browser), to get on the internet itself. Not quite the same as a proper computer, but can be convenient.

Most of the use our Wii gets is with iPlayer - great when you forget to record something, or want to watch something you just missed.

  • Hi there...:)

I recently set up Netflix account & have been using the Wii to view it where previously we had only used it to pay games...

My question is...I would like to now use it for BBC iplayer as well so where do I go from there please?...Do I have to pay to have access as I am confused after reading posts about buying credits/points...

Any help much appreciated thanks folks!

You don't have to pay for iPlayer on the Wii.
