RBS / Natwest late refunds

Hi Guys,
I have noticed that despite quoting 'endeavour to refund within 28 working days' the Royal Bank of Scotland Group (Rbs/Natwest/Ulster) seem to really be dragging their heels with refunds.
Mine is due before the 31st of October, but I am not holding out much hope.
Has ANYONE actually received their money yet? I am struggling to find a single person.
I am fed up, let down and my faith with this company has completely been lost. I used to be a hard working member of staff at RBS, that was until I was made redundant. I will be glad to see the back of them after this has finished, but until then what can we do?
We all know the Ombudsman is a long and tiresome route - so who's for Watchdog? If enough of us complain, they will soon mention it!!.
Who's with me?

I thing there have been a few over the past couple of days who have received payments about a week or so overdue, the way I see it, they must've been deluged from all the offers put out at the end of August hence why they have a lot to get through, hence the delay, not that this is any excuse, so they have to get through them first then move on to all the others that have arrived since, seemingly they are working evenings and weekends to get through them.
My acceptance was received on Monday and am expecting to wait till mid November to get my dough, we'll see. Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -
Hi there
There have been a few of us who have complained to watchdog about RBS and others. They are the ones who put the timescale on the letter and are now failing to meet it. I think up until the bulk of the letters went out at the end of august they were paying out pretty quickly but again its their own fault for choosing to send letters out en masse instead of dealing with them since the JR. I dont like phoning the call centre as its not their fault so I have emailed Hester and asked him to answer my questions instead of sending out generic replies.

I had my RBS upheld the FOS in June, was told I'd have a letter from RBS confirming the settlement amount within a hefty 8 weeks but still haven't seen any sign of it yet. And that's just the letter, not even the cheque! I keep speaking to the FOS, the FOS keep diligently hassling RBS once a week, RBS keep saying they think they'll have worked out the amount by the following week, I wait for the letter........and all that's been achieved in 4 months is that my postman now thinks I'm stalking him.0
