Looking for desktop pictures for my pc

Like an idiot, i deleted 5 or 6 of my favourite pictures from my hard drive that i use on my desktop and it leaves me with 2 festive ones but thats all. Does anyone know where i can start looking to build up my collection again? Preferably free but if not free, quite reasonably priced.

I like the Deviant Art site. They have a huge collection of pictures for your perusal and most of them are free for personal use.

Try webshots.com, they have some lovely pictures.
  • Flickr is where I store my photos - most people make theirs available for non-commercial use for free. You can search by pretty much anything and download the photo in a range of resolutions to fit your needs.

  • I just google the images link save whatever I want into a folder in my pictures and when that folder gets to 512mb I put them on a cdrw just in case I ever want to get rid of them at a alater date when I don't want them anymore. or you could put in snapfish or photobucket and get them whenever, or send to yourself in an email then you've always got them.

Pls be nice to all MSer's

    HTH,

As a follow-up, I was searching Flickr for something completely different, and found that they have a dedicated pool of photos that people think are suitable for desktop backdrops. The pool can be found here.
