    Perpetually Paying Rent?

:) no seriously, why's he been banned this time?

I hate houses where the front door opens off the street straight into the living room.

Why? Some very old houses have that (my parents' previous house in Kent did) and I didn't dislike it at all.

i don't like a door onto the street from your front room because when you open the door anyone walking past (or the jehovah's witness who has just knocked on your front door) is basically in your front room, and there are cars going past about a foot away from your telly. of course if it's a 16 bedroom mansion up a private drive it's not as annoying ;)

I don't see any deception. I see a number of people who probably grew up in houses similar to this, being a bit rude about it.

It may look pretty decent value to those 'dahn sarth,' because they're used to paying huge prices for stuff, which in its raw form, costs no more than about £35-50k.

If anyone is being deceived, it's those who would willingly pay over 250 grand for something like this, because it's inside the M25.

There's loads of houses like that in the Medway Towns in Kent. I can't see what the fuss is about. OK it may have a couple of features that aren't ideal (front door, pebble dashing) but.. er... won't they be pretty obvious when a potential buyer views the property, even if they are too dim to notice from the Rightmove listing. I can't see where the deception is.
All I seem to hear is blah blah blah!

That house gives a lot for your money, given the inside is so much nicer than the outside.

A lot of houses other than 16 bed mansions have a front path, or similar, surely?

Well try pink pebbledashing, which is what I inherited 13 years ago!

Not only that, but every wall in every room, was painted pink. Even some aluminium/pannelled suspended ceilings were painted pink. The tarmac drive was pink.

I'm afraid I hold the undesputed record :D, and I think many posters who've been here a while will back me on this..... It stands at approximately 40, give or take.

But you can't keep a good man down, I think they've given up now :)
Have owned outright since Sept 2009, however I'm of the firm belief that high prices are a cancer on society, they have sucked money out of the economy, handing it to banks who've squandered it.
