and good on you and your colleauges to grab yourself a bargain...xx
Yes there were sunshine, not a lot of variety, i'd say about 5, but lots of them. There was also a few varieties of handbags, mens slippers & vests, star wars hat scarf & glove sets. Clothes wise there was mens jeans, shirts & suit jackets (no trousers though). Ladies jumpers (the thin v neck type) & a variety of tops. Hope this helps anyone.
In Portsmouth...hope you get lucky:j
Happy bargain hunting0 -
Just got back from my local Walsall store - there was 1 clothes rail near the front of the store with hardly anything on it...... just Take That T-shirts and some other white t-shirts that were representing a charity - cant remember which one off the top of my head...
i asked at Customer Services if there was any other items that were going to be reduced as i had heard that lots of clothing was to be reduced to £1.. the guy just said that all that was left was the stuff by the front of the store and the 'sale rail' upstairs.... the sale rail upstairs was not bad, but nothing scanned at £1... i asked if it would be tomorrow, and he said.. no that was a seperate promotion and that all stock had already been put out and what was left was it....- no shoes, bags, coats, mens stuff.... rather dissapointing really.
i asked another sales assistant - just to double check, and she said the same thing... oh poo!!!
didnt even re-stock the dunkers to make the trip worthwhile.... ended up buying some shoes, just for the sake of it. . . which will be returned tomorrow promptly. lol
Oh also - half way through my 'scanning mission' - the self scanners suddenly stopped working... they were all turned on, but whenever anything was scanned... and i mean anything... there was a slight delay and it just came up with the message all MSEers dread - 'please contact a member of staff' - anyone any ideas as to why they stopped all of a sudden????

I hope stores try to limit the number of items people can get to stop the trolley filling brigade. As mentioned in other threads I have a vested interest in Tesco and believe that customer interests should come first as long as it leads to greater sales. After all this is a marketing excercise to attract customers. Bear in mind that excess stock can be disposed of at £1 relatively easily rather than going through this type of sale but on the other hand Tesco know that there is a guaranteed customer base who will buy any old tat as long as it is reducedAwaiting a new sig0

some people are so nice.. makes me forget all the shi* people out there that do wrong.... there is still kindness in this world. bless you. xx
Bad people really are in the minority as people are generally good and wouldn't do others a bad turn. Sometimes we've got to focus on that when we read about the bad things that happen. Anyway I hope I can keep my promise to you. Just depends if they come back on offer but they seem to come back on occasionally. I will certainly check as I use my pc for too many hours each day lol! Just read your 'return home' message and disappointed for you that they had very little. I would go back tomorrow in case they are telling porkies. Going by other people's experience, some good Christmas presents could be bought but it may be that some stores have cleared their £1 stock but maybe they still have some in their stock rooms to encourage more shoppers tomorrow too. Good luck if you do go again and I can feel it in my bones, you will have to double check just in case lol!"For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others; for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness; and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone."0 -

I'm presuming this is not G00dm*yes as I was in there this evening and according to the Clothing Dept SAs, they know nothing about items being sold for £1 and as far as they are concerned, this store won't be selling noneIf at first you don't succeed ........Alternative autism therapies should be free!!
