Sorry if this is on the wrong board and I had a look at the main MSE site and couldn't find any pointers.
Where is the best (cheapest) place to get photographs printed please? Supermarket, online etc?

Depends on how many you want printed?
I've found costco to be cost-effective for 500+ photos0 -
Photobox is good....I recommend it!Wilkies50

I second the photobox comment, i used them and got really good service, good value for money and they were quick.0

I found Asda to be poor quality, as it was on matte not gloss paper. I liked Boots but thanks to a big complaint I'm not using them for anything now. I'll probably go to Snappy Snaps next time, even though they'll be dearer.
I'm not techy enough to try an online place!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Sign up for as many of the online printing places as you can, as most give at least 30 photos, and up to 100 free when you first sign up. I've only ever paid for postage and packing!
Argos, ASDA, Tesco, Snapfish, Truprint, Photobox, Kodak Gallery, Bonusprint, Jessops, Pixum. Aldi, Boots just for starters!0 -
Bonus print, triple print, jessops online, instore with Asda and Tesco- there's quite a few places, they're all a similar grade, TBH. I use a pro developers online, they're expensive but the photo quality is worth it- I'm getting pro images printed though, so it wouldn't benefit you.
Asda- cheap and cheerful, Tesco is slightly better. Jessops usually not too bad, but not as cheap as the supermarkets. Bonus and Triple would be a similar grade to Tesco. I stopped using Boots when I had to repeatedly fix their machine for them years ago, their staff weren't trained to maintain it!0 -
I've been on a photography course this week and they warned us to stay away from supermarket printing as the quality is very poor. They recommended Clifton Colour http://www.cliftoncolour.co.uk/ who also have an online service and deliver. Their prices aren't extortionate either.,___,

Ooh a photography course that sounds fun! I'd be interested in going on one of those. Was it in the Bristol area? I know the place Clifton Colour, i've only been there once or twice.. but quite a while ago but from what I remember it was quite good

If you are a Boots advantage card holder, if you go to the Advantage card machine you may see that one of your offers is 10% off photo service at Boots. I went to see how much it costs and it said 30p a photo.. I thought  as I've seen it much cheaper per print online.
I guess it's a saving anyway if you don't want to go down the online printing route. There was also an offer today on the card machine for photo albums.0 -
I use photobox. Infact Im currently on there right now uploading pics to order.
If you do 500 or more theyre 5p. So I just store them on there til Im ready to buy that many.
You can store hundreds on pics on there which is also useful as a backup. So when I get photos I always upload them to there just incase something went wrong on either my camera or computer.0
