i'd be very grateful if one of the kind techies here would run their eye over the detail below and give a little advice on any further improvement i can make to speed up my aging PC.

The commit charge has reduced to 211/1106 following the startuplite and cleanmem tools and closing the anti virus progs. Avast is installed.

pretty lean as it is, stop these with msconfig

quicktime has a habit of coming back, if you don't use it, uninstall it

might be able to get away without this running

has the keyboard got special multimedia keys that you use?

tick and fix this using hijackthis

does the mobile phone software need to be installed?

did you set cleanmem to run every 5 minutes in c:\windows\tasks?

start, run, services.msc disable these services UNLESS you use them. (make a note of any services you disable,if you have any problems related to these services subsequently, simply re-enable them)
