Hello, i was awarded Middle rate care at a Tribunal in August, its for needing someone at night times for reassurance after Nightmares, a week later i moved into a house with my brother, he has now left after bullying and verbally abusing me with threatening behaviour, what do i do about my DLA claim as im currently alone, i dont want to lose this as it took 8 months for tribunal hearing.
Thanks

Strange as it may seem, you don't actually have to be getting the help to be be able to claim DLA. However, you should ensure that your brother's stopped claiming Carers Allowance if he was before.0 -
He applied for Carers Allowance and the CAB lady rang them yesterday to stop that claim0

I am also waiting for an Income Support claim to go through as i was told i could claim for disability premiums, does anyone know if i will get it all back dated the middle rate care was awarded from Feb 2nd0

as you are now living alone and once/if no one gets CA for you then you will qualify for the severe disability premium on i/s around £55 a week0

Thanks for the info0
