Good Points
I genuinely can't think of anything food to say about this tent.
Bad Points
This tent was nigh-on impossible to set up, even after a practice run, and even with help from people who had a moderate amount of tent expertise. It let in water from every angle, it had no resistance to wind whatsoever, it eventually blew away, even with the use of guy ropes. It was, to put it simply, a dreadful, dreadful tent.0 -

A few things wrong with your post.
Tents of this design a so simple to put up, even a child could do it.
4 poles slotted in, then once the pins are inserted its pretty much setup
you just have to peg it out.
Wind resistance, you mean blowing around and poles bending etc?
A sure sign it wasn't erected correctly.
Blowing away? Seriously? It wasn't secured or put up correctly.
Tents generally don't just blow away, even those that aren't secured
properly will take a hell of a gale to just blow away.
Leaking... Many factors could cause this, not enough tention in the
fabric, touching the inside of the flysheet breaking the tension, not
weathering it first ie pitching once, hosing down and letting it dry, this
seals any tiny holes around the seams that allows it to leak.0 -
Plenty of reviews (several hundred), plenty of people saying it's an awful tent0

^^^^^ what im-lost said.... i agree we had this tent a few years ago and it lasted 3 yrs of our family camping i also agree there is no way this tent could have blown away unless it wasnt secure enough, it has to have a lot of tension as the sides seem to get wet inside if it hasnt, (quick fix pull tighter lol) only found that out after the first time we slept in it once we straightened it out we had no problems whatsoever was really easy to put and trust me we aint no experts lol
only problem we did have was lending it out and not getting it back or we would still be using it now pity i bought the one from b&q the other week or i would purchase againbest win in 2011:eek: 4 nights in Las Vegas
2011 wins £8,752.000 -
I have one of these. And although I wouldnt wanna go on a 2 week holiday in it (But then you'd be absolutely bonkers to do this in any tent costing less than several hundred quid). I have to say the kids love playing in it in the garden ive never had any problems putting it up and its never leaked, although its not been up in anything more than a slight shower.
So probably fine for the odd night of summer camping or as a play tent for the children but not as a ''main holiday'' tent!''Aim for the moon, because if you miss you will still land amongst the stars''0 -
£30 is OK for a play tent for the kids but this looks hopeless as a tent to survive a night of moderate wind & rain.0

We have this tent and it has done us well for various fishing trips and a few festivals. We've never stayed in it for more than 3 nights, but it has withstood fairly moderate rain on a couple of occasions. We found it easy to put up. I think the person who slated it a few posts up didn't put it up correctly, or maybe not on solid flat ground? Yes, it's not top of the range by any standards but for £30 it'll do you a turn. Like any tent though, cheap or expensive, it's imperative that it is put up absolutely 100% correctly. Even the flimsiest of tents won't simply blow away if it's pegged down right! :rotfl:Come ride with me, through the veins of history...

I have this tent and I can put it up on my own! If its put up correctly it shouldn't leak or blow away. I've never had a tent "blow away".
I got this tent for £50 earlier in the season and thought it was a bargain, £30 is a great price.0
