Garden Walls & Fences

Hi Folks
Does anyone know if I put up a ranch style wooden fence and attach
the wooden pillars to my existing garden walls which are in a pretty poor state
but if in the future the walls and fence which would by then have become
part of the wall are blown down would the walls and fence then be covered
at the moment it is only the walls.

Advice Welcomed.

I dont know what ranch style fence is... need to check your policy but many insurers exclude fencing from storm damage and therefore the wall is covered the fence isnt (unless it is more akin to a trellis than a fence)

the other issue of cause is the fact you say they are in a poor state but your insurance will require you maintain your property in a good state of repair and therefore you may not be covered for either

I agree with Ast on this one. The majority of insurers dont cover fences so you would need to check your policy.

Again you would need to be able to show that your wall / fence was in a good state of repair as insurers will stipulate in terms and conditions that you do so.
