Last time this happened to me it was because the age of the property I put on the application turned out to be about three years different to the age the surveyor put on the valuation.
Halifax changed it, sending the case back to pre-offer and I had to go back in to their online system to release it for re-offer. It also changed the assumed completion date which affected the accrued interest and total amount payable slightly.I am a mortgage broker.
