I'm not sure that Bristol is different from ANY major city in those respects - OK, maybe a few places have sorted out their bus services, but they all have heavy traffic and crime rates which are very high in some parts of the city - don't they?

And I thought I said something about buses ... if not on this thread then on others. But that's why I like living where I do: choice of the appalling bus service offered by FirstGroup, the Park&Ride service, or the trains! Long Live the Severn Beach Rail Line!

    Bristle, we luv'ee.

Hi all, gone for Stoke Bishop in the end, a bit further (and steeper) of a walk to work than anticipated but a lovely little place, with a bit more room. Had a great time exploring Bristol, I realise that everywhere is friendlier than London, but was particularly struck by how lovely Bristolians are ... all you have to do is look lost and someone will offer assistance.
