Hi all, I've lurked around here for a long time but this is my first post. I'm looking into getting a first car and ideally I want a car that is new-ish and reliable. Don't buy a new or nearly new car as your first car as, no offence, there's a good chance you'll crash it.

Unless you live in Bradford or something, you should be able to get insured for under 3K on something older and cheaper. Once you've got a years no-claims-bonus, then think about getting something a bit newer and nicer.
