PPI - Lloyds taking an age to pay up

I successfully claimed on this PPI business and got £3902.94 from Lloyds.... now this was dated September 2011 and thus it is well past the 21 days you would expect LBG to pay up... given all they need to do is send a cheque and they have supposed to have set aside a couple of Billion £££'s to cover this... Being an I.T. expert, i know for a fact if they have procedures and development teams in place to charge customers and release new products then it should not be hard to credit customers for a scam they admit too.... Simple update statement or printing run...
So i ring up the 0845 number to chase it and then get the call centre staff saying... "no time on when you get your money, were sorry blah blah blah"...
my issue is... if i had gone overdrawn or owed them money i would be receiving charges and letters/phone calls...
so what can we do... i have just written them a letter stating they have 28 days to pay (recorded delivery) and if they don't then i will use the following...
"Enforcement of Judgment" looking for a "Warrant of Execution"... and that any costs that of such an arrangement (Several £100's) will also be added and the interests be calculated...
turns out that even though they say they will pay - actually paying is a different matter... My wife is a lawyer and she says that as long as you have taken reasonable steps (phone calls, letters etc) then you can force them to pay up however this requires a small court hearing...
See what happens here's hoping, but it is a shame to swamp the courts again because the banks can't pull their finger out...............

In utter frustration I rang the FOS to see if they could nudge things along seeing as it was their judgement that Lloyds pay me the money that they have taken off me and the interest they owe. The guy said that I wouldnt see anything within 8 weeks. I am now in week 5. The words Lloyds used in their letter to me with their calculations was 'shortly', 'as quickly as possible', 'as quickly as we can' dont add up at all. I just wish I was in a position to actually press the bloudy buttons instead of waiting for some minimum wage earner to do as he/she is told and process the debt money back to me. It doesnt take Einstein brains to work it out. You took of me, you have been found guilty so pay up now. No offence of course to the millions of people who are working 9-5, 5 days a week to get our money back.
Barry/FOS said that should the money not materialise then I have to put forward another complaint. For heavens sake.
I am so annoyed that I shall start to swear in a minute and that wont get me anywhere...
Big deep breath then until....0 -
