Virgin Cc rates rise

Just Recieved a letter this morning saying That the rates have risen on my credit card from 16.6% to 24.9% :mad:Has anyone else received a letter this morning????

    Does it not say that the rate will rise - and give you the option to opt out before it does? It should and its almost certainly worth opting out - though you won't be able to spend on the account anymore or use it for new BTs etc.

    Yeah can opt out I don't spend on Cc anymore after I found this site made me wake up and pay my growing debts I have large credit facility on this card and with it being part of mbna they offer great 0% deals on the card.

    only a 0.7% difference between both bad enough though!!
  • had the same over time from 16.9 to a whopping 34.9%, have finally cleared the 13k on the card and phone to close it yesterday to be told i can have 7.9% and offered my balance transfers, cash transfers to bank account all for no charge, but said no thanks and simply kept the card open but lowered the limit by 10k to 5k.

    Always amazing how when you dont need the help they bend over backwards for you yet when you need you get told not a chance in hell
